Roughly an hour's travel time from Metro Manila (depending on the condition of SLEX) is a place called Tagaytay City. A cool place, roughly hitting below 25 degrees Celsius throughout the year. It is a common stop for locals and tourists who just want to get away from the city for a couple of days. Some places to see are: Tagaytay Highlands, Royal Tagaytay Country Club, Canyon Woods, Fantasy World, Good Shepherd, Sonya's Garden, and the Tagaytay Picnic Groove.
