Commuting to Puerto Galera



Located in Oriental Mindoro, Puerto Galera is one of the popular tourist destinations of the Philippines. It has two famous beaches, the White Beach and Sabang Beach. Many activities can be done here such as: beach volleyball, beach camping, beach hopping, trekking, etc.

Commuting Routes:

From Caloocan:

  1. Take the LRT-1 to Gil Puyat Station.
  2. Ride a Tritran bus to Batangas City/Batangas Pier (leaves every 30 minutes, PHP149 fare).
  3. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes fom 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.
  4. From Muelle, you can ride a jeep, boat, or tricycle to your destination resort.

From Las Pinas:

  1. From Alabang-Zapote Road, ride a jeep/bus to Alabang, and get off at Manuela Metropolis Alabang (Metropolis Mall).
  2. Ride a bus to Batangas Pier.
  3. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7:30 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.

From Makati:

  1. Go to LRT-1 Gil Puyat Station along Taft Ave. corner Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia).
  2. Ride a Tritran bus to Batangas City/Batangas Pier (leaves every 30 minutes, PHP149 fare).
  3. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7:30 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.
  4. From Muelle, you can ride a jeep, boat, or tricycle to your destination resort.

From Mandaluyong/Pasig:

Route 1: MRT-LRT-1 Bus-Boat/Ferry-Jeep
  1. Take the MRT to Taft terminal station.
  2. Walk through the connecting foot bridge towards LRT-1 EDSA station.
  3. Take the LRT-1 to Gil Puyat Station.
  4. Ride a Tritran bus to Batangas City/Batangas Pier (leaves every 30 minutes, PHP149 fare).
  5. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle.   6. From Muelle, you can ride a jeep, boat, or tricycle to your destination resort.
Route 2: MRT-Bus-Boat/Ferry-Jeep
  1. Take the MRT to Kamuning Station.
  2. Walk 2 blocks the way you came along EDSA following the MRT track, past 11th Jamboree, GMA Channel 7, Metro Manila Commission, Timog Avenue/South Avenue, Carlos P. Garcia Avenue (East Avenue), Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Department of Interior and Local Government. (It's not as far as it sounds.) The Tritran bus terminal is just beyond Trinity Lutheran Church.
  3. Ride a Tritran bus to Batangas Pier (every 30 minutes, PHP 154 fare).
  4. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7:30 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.
  5. From Muelle, you can ride a jeep, boat, or tricycle to your destination resort.

From Manila:

Route 1: LRT-1/Jeep-Bus-Boat/Ferry-Jeep
  1. Arrive at LRT-1 Gil Puyat Station.

  1. From Plaza Lawton, ride a JAM Transit bus to Batangas Pier.
  2. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7:30 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.
  3. From Muelle, you can ride a jeep, boat, or tricycle to your destination resort.
Route 3: Jeep-Bus-Ferry
  1. From Quiapo/Divisoria/Taft, ride a jeep to Mabini.
  2. Get off at City State Tower Hotel, at A. Mabini corner Padre Faura. Landmarks are Mabini Pensionne and Lotus Garden.
  3. Ride the Si-Kat bus and ferry service direct to Puerto Galera. The bus leaves from City State Tower Hotel daily. Reservations and inquiries can be made at +63-2-521-33-44.
Route 4: Sea Plane
  1. From Manila Bay, near the Manila Hotel, ride the Manila to Puerto Galera Sea Plane Services (45 minutes).

From Muntinlupa:

  1. From Manuela Metropolis Alabang (Metropolis Mall), ride a bus to Batangas Pier.
  2. From Batangas Pier, ride a boat to White Beach (M/B Brian leaves every 30 minutes from 6AM), a Sabang Princess Ferry to Sabag Island, or a ferry to the port of Puerto Galera, called Muelle. The first ferry to Puerto Galera typically leaves around 7:30 AM and the last ferry typically leaves before 4PM.
